JARRAH ALI AL-TUBAIKH
Kuwaiti, was born in Kuwait on July 2nd,1978. Lives in Kuwait.
He has been taking his drawing skills seriously and starts to learn digital art in 1997.

AA: How do you learned Caricature?
JA: I learned caricature by self train through practice, buying books and online tutorials. And above all, many hours of practice.

AA: What does caricature mean for you?
JA: Caricature is my life. It is part of my expression and opinion. People share their opinions through Facebook, writing, or speaking. I use caricatures to deliver my opinions.

AA: What’s your advice for everyone who is beginning in caricature?
JA: My advice for beginners is don’t copy other people, use their techniques and their way of art to express yourself. You can use the art technique of a master you like, but only to train yourself and later to express yourself, not to be a copy of him. The artist you like is expressing himself, that’s why his work is authentic and unique. Every one should do the same.

AA: How do you learned Caricature?
GR: I was in the school when I drew my first caricature and my teacher was my goal. I practiced the caricature with all my teachers and some friends. Then I started watching websites of masters of caricature like Jason Seiler, Sebastian Krüger, Vizcarra, Manohead, Joe Bluhm…and tried to do the same. One thing that really helped me was a Joe Bluhm videotutorial that was awesome. Now I’m an art student.

AA: What does caricature mean for you?
GR: I think caricature is like a portrait but reflecting the personality. And if it’s funny, much better.

AA: What’s your advice for everyone who is beginning in caricature?

AA: What does caricature mean for you?
BC: Caricature I find it challenging because for me is “a coherent forced change upon a subject”; deforming, magnifying, exaggerating … but still keeping it recognizable.

AA: What’s your advice for everyone who is beginning in caricature?
BC: I use to study numerous artists, with more experience and knowledge about art and “visual expressions” and I suggest to everybody, even if they are like me without an art school, or they just graduated … to study as much visual artists they can and practice every day.
